February 03 Meeting "B" today & KaeToday I am going to the Galleria to meet "B" and Kae.
Houston is one of the 5 fattest cities.
I hope to get an interview. I started the BL with 39 other employee's at my Transportation Department.
We have our first weigh in on the 7th of every month. This month will be our first weigh in since we started January 7th.
Is anyone else going to be at the Galleria today? I would love to meet up with some people from this contest. My husband won't be able to come today. He has just got home from working a 12 hour shift.
February 02 Plan AheadThis week has been a busy one for me. I've now moved up to an 8 hour run. For 2 days I trained someone to take over my route. I was the aide for those 2 days. Life is always changing and I have to plan out my breakfast & lunch the night before. You just have to plan ahead.
Today I have a trip from 11:00am -5:00 . I have to plan what I am taking for the day. January 28 Good Start for the WeekTonight I met Chuck at the gym after I got off work. He was already on the treadmill. I did the weight loss program on the treadmill and then lasted all of 6 minutes on the EP. I am so out of shape!
We are feeling so much better. I look forward to going to the gym. Tuesday we will just walk the neighborhood. We want to be home watching this weeks Biggest Loser. January 27 10 Laps TodayToday I finally made it to the gym for a swim. I got there at 3:00 and not many people were in the gym at all.
I swam 10 laps today. I will probably swim 10 till I'm not so out of breath then add more.
Chuck helped out with a bike ride today. He did do lots of walking but no gym today for him. Getting a late start todayI have spent most of my morning working on My Space. I need to get going to the gym now. I am going to swim only. I hope everyone is doing well with their exercise.
Thirty minutes of walking a day is better than nothing. Weight & Body MeasurmentsThis morning I had a 7:00 appointment at 24 Hour Fitness. I woke at 6:30 ........jumped out of bed into the shower. I had to wake our dog Max to go outside before I could leave. I was 5 minutes late for the appointment. Not like me at all. My total body fat is 45%
Chuck is a work today and will be going to the gym after work. January 26 Workout todayChuck & I were able to work out together this morning. We did the treadmill and then the circuit.
We were going to swim but it was too crowded so we are planning to go tomorrow. Chuck has now lost 14 lbs. I'm not weighing in till Monday at work. We are using a scale at work for our Biggest Loser Challenge. Our first weigh-In will be Febuary 7th.
Chuck and I are noticing that we get full faster eating lots of vegatables and less Carbs. We seem to have more energy and not a sluggish feeling.
We ended our workout with a nice soak in the hot-tub. Awwww January 24 More rain todayStarting out the day with pouring rain.
Yesterday I went the gym and did the circuit for the first time. I now feel all my arm muscles, leg muscles and stomach muscles. Today I am just going to walk around the neighborhood.........maybe a nice rainy walk will be good. I did go for a swim. My goal is to be able to swim 30 laps by May. I can only swim about 6 now and am really out of breath doing those.
Chuck went to the gym on his way home from work. He now feels his muscles.
January 22 Another day at the gymToday I walked the treadmill for 25 minutes. I almost walked 2 miles.
I went for a short swim then the hot-tub. I am feeling so much better watching what I am eating along with exercising.
Chuck took a day off from the gym. He will go again tomorrow after work. I will be going for a swim in the morning after my morning run. January 20 Not missing the junk foodToday I had errands to run. Chuck stayed home and watched football. We have been doing really well staying away from junk food. I don't buy it anymore.
I get hungry for salads and thirsty for water.
Chuck & I will be weighing in on Monday's. I will get my measurements at 24 hour fitness tomorrow morning at 7am.
January 19 Finally we both workedoutTonight was the first night Chuck had gone to 24 hour fitness.
We did the treadmill and then I did the bike. We both swam a few laps then headed for the hot-tub.
I plan on doing lots more swimming. I feel it tones my whole body.
We both will be weighing in on Monday's. I feel so much better since I've change my eating habits and started exercising. Plans ChangedYesterday I had a school bus trip that lasted from 2:45pm till 11:45 pm. The plan was we were to eat at Ci Ci's pizza. I had planned to just have the salad bar with some meat toppings. Well..........plans changed! First of all, there were 2 buses with 60 boys between both buses. As we parked the buses and unloaded the boys the other driver said she was going to James Coney Island. I couldn't let her go there and eat alone so I went with her. I ordered the heart healthy turkey sandwich with spicy mustard & a diet drink. I felt satisifed after the meal. At the hockey game all I had was a diet dr pepper. All the botted drinks were $4 and I wasn't going to pay that for bottled water. So you can still watch what you eat wherever you might go.
Today Chuck will be going to 24 hour fitness for the first time. I did go yesterday for 30 minutes knowing I would be on the bus most of the day. January 18 First Blog enteriesJanuary 10
Biggest Loser Couples ChallengeMy husband Chuck and myself are tired of feeling tired and being overweight. We are making lifestyle changes. You need to plan ahead on your meals and enjoy the company you are with. Life Changes/Biggest Loser This is the start of a new year and a new beginning for myself and my husband. We both want a healthier lifestyle to enjoy life to the fullest.
We want to be around when our children have our grandkids. Diebetes runs in my family along with strokes. We are tired of buying large size clothes.
I drive a special ed school bus and need to get more exercise in my life. Just this past Monday a group of 35 people started a Biggest Loser challange at work. On the road againToday I have a trip from 2:45 till 11pm. We will be going to Ci Ci's pizza before watching a hockey game. I have already planned to eat at the salad bar. I am going to ask for some meat toppings to go with the salad.
Going to work out at 24 hour fitness around 11:00. I will be sitting most of today and want to burn off some calories this morning.
Chuck just got home from working a 12 hour shift. He will be sleeping till about 11. January 16 Yes You Can!!!Yes you can eat healthy at a mexican restaurant. My son took me out for dinner tonight. I didn't eat any chips at all. I ordered the chicken fajaita salad. I ordered it on a plate not a mexican bowl. I feel really satisfied. I had a salad from Subway for lunch.
Chuck has been working 12 hour shifts. I didn't see him at all today. Our schools are having mid-term exams now and my schedule has been different for the past 2 days.
Really feel like I am in control of what I am eating. January 14 Another week has begun Another week has begun.. I went to 24 Hour Fitness to get weighed and measured. I will have to wait till Monday morning 7am. I have no problem with mornings since I get up at 4am during the week.
Chuck has had stomach cramps and caught some bug. He is not keep anything down. He just wants to beat me this week the easy way!
I can't believe I am not feeling tired during my time off work. I ususally would take a nap for 30 minutes or longer.
Thinking of leaving for work a little early to walk on the treadmill. January 13 24 Hour Fitness~WOW!!!!Today was my first day to actually work out at 24 Hour Fitness. I asked to be weighed & measured but there were not any trainers available. I made an appointment for Monday morning when I finish my bus route.
I did walk on the treadmill for 15 minutes and then did the epillital for 5. I then went swimming and swam 6 laps. I can tell I am really out of shape!!! I ended my workout with a nice soak in the hot-tub. Awwwww that felt so good after exercising.
I feel so much better since I've been watching what I eat. I plan to go to the gym at least 6 days a week.
It was so nice having "ME" time at the gym. I'm doing this for ME & no one else. If you don't have your health you don't have anything. January 12 Away from HomeToday I had a trip on the bus and was gone from 9:45am till 5:00. I planned all the food I was taking and tracked everything. I even walked the track at the school. I only did one lap... I was too full from lunch to walk any more.
Chuck has been taking his lunch to work . All the food is measured and makes his life so much easier at work. He works 12 hour shifts.
I don't seem to be so hungry that I just inhale my food. I have started to eat slower and have at least one fruit a day. January 11 24 Hour FitnessToday I signed up for 24 Hour Fitness. I love it that they have a lap pool.
Eating small amounts of food all during the day. I post my food on WWW.Sparkpeople.com It really helps me know the calories, carbs etc I am eating in a day. January 10 Starting to WalkChuck and I are starting to walk aound the neighborhood every evening. It really feels good to walk. This is just the beginning of our walking routine. You might say this is our warmup walks.
